If there is one thing we can all agree on is that when it comes to our natural hair journey any help we can get is useful. When you do a search for natural hair you see tons of videos, blogs, articles, products and images and if you look close enough you will notice a lot of what is being shared is aimed towards curly haired naturals.
Now we know that natural hair is more than just curls. There are also some of us that have kinky* coils or zig zags (natural hair that doesn’t curl or coil) that make up a great percentage of the natural hair community.
If you are looking for women who have zig zag curls or coily hair but they do not come up in your initial search, you are in luck. On YouTube alone there are tons of undiscovered Youtubers’ that give great tips, share easy hairstyles, simple DIY’s and much more to make our kinky* textured natural hair journey better.
Below are some that I personally tune into each time there’s a video upload that peaks my interest. Here are four of my faves!
Geri is one of my favorite Youtubers. I came across Geri from a pinterest page and I loved her gorgeous skin and shiny natural 4c hair.
Above is one of the first videos I watched on her channel that got me to like, subscribe, and share with others. On her channel you will get easy hairstyles, hair methods to help in a regimen, make tutorials and more. Check her out tell her Nappyfu sent you.
West African Baby is a lively, spunky, adorable Youtuber who I came across last year. I was doing a search for roller sets on 4c hair and came across her video above.
It totally had me grab my rollers and put it to test. Now although my roller set didn’t come out so well I enjoyed her video and seeing her results.
Osa is what I would call the Queen Latifah of the 4c hair community. She keeps it real honest, blunt, and simple all while flashing her pearly white teeth cute smile.
On her channel, you find a 4c hair natural who brings common sense to natural hair. Her chit chats, tutorials, techniques and simple expertise will have you set up right on your hair journey.
This cutie caught my eye with her “How I Detangle My Natural Hair” video above. I like the quality of her videos and also how simple her hair techniques are.
She makes you feel like this natural hair journey thing is as easy as 123. She has cute styles, protective styles, DIY’s, and much more. These are just a few of the 4c hair YouTubers I tune into, comment below and let us know who you like to watch.
