Are you a writer who likes writing about hair and would like to be paid for your work? BHI is looking for relaxed or natural hair bloggers to write interesting articles in a unique voice. You should be a proven writer so it would help if you already had your own blog or proof of your work.
As you will be giving our readers advice on hair care, your own hair should be healthy. You should also have been on your healthy hair journey for at least a year. I will consider ladies with all hair lengths (it is a learning process after all!).
Full author terms and conditions can be found here but below is a general overview of what is required.
Length: Your articles should be at least 800 words in length. You can add up to two supporting links pointing away from BHI per article but blatant advertising will not be accepted. Don’t worry too much about formatting because the article will be edited to match the website style when it is reviewed.
Topics Required: Relaxed hair care, Wigs, Weave & Extensions, Lace Fronts, Hair Growth, Hair Challenges etc. Your articles should be interesting, original and targeted to women of color particularly to women in the United States.
Editing: BHI reserves the right to edit your article including adding links, editing titles and text to improve readability and clarity.
Payment: This will be dependent on writing quality and experience. Expect between $20-$30 per article.
Links: Writing for BHI can increase the popularity of your own blog/site. You will get a link to your blog from your author bio box which will help both increase your traffic directly from BHI and increase the link popularity of your blog which will lead to more traffic from search engines!
Author Rights: We request exclusive worldwide electronic rights to publish the articles on BlackHairInformation.com. You will be given credit for your work in your author bio box.
