My. Conditioner. Was. Not. The. Same. And I say this in a good way. This shampoo got all of the residue off of my hair, too, so the conditioner worked really well. I used Tressemme ultra moisturizing conditioner*, which is a big ol’ cheap bottle, that hurts like a mug if you drop it on your foot, but I digress. The shampoo cleaned my hair without stripping it, and what more can a curly ask for?
What’s that? You want to know how much it cost? Well, it was originally $4.69 U.S., with my Sally’s club card (I’m a Sally’s addict, and I need help, but that’s a different post), it only cost me $4.19 U.S. Considering that it’s a concentrate, and I only need 2 ounces to make a 10 ounce bottle of shampoo, and then I only use 2 ounces of THAT to wash my hair (You get all that? Trust me, it’s awesome, it’s about 40 washes, or something like that), It is a very good deal.
Here are the ingredients:
Water, Cocamide DEA(this is what makes the shampoo foam, and according to my research, {cosmeticsinfo.org}, this is not a dangerous compound when used as a rinse off product, or in small quantities as a leave in.), Propylene Glycol (an organic alcohol that attracts water and functions as a moisturizer), Spearmint Leaf oil, Chlorophyllin Copper* Complex (which is used to deodorize the scalp), and Yellow 10 and Green 5 coloring. [All info obtained from Cosmeticsinfo.org]
So, I am very happy with this shampoo. I think I will incorporate into my regimen once a month, to remove buildup. I was looking it up online and notice that they also make shampoo with Protein. Perhaps I could try and review that one? We shall see.
