Dry Clean With Corn Meal
Corn meal makes a delicious porridge, great muffins and puddings, it’s good as a facial scrub too, but have you ever considered it as a solution for those times when you want to dry clean your hair? Now some persons schedule a wash for every week while some stretch to a month.
Let’s face it, sometimes things get a bit hectic in your life and you hardly have time to scratch your head let alone wash it. Wetting your whole head means detangling and then taking the time to re-style. For those who want to skip a wash for whatever reason without the itchy scalp from all the buildup of the product used for styling, you can use corn meal. You will need:
►a tablespoon of corn meal
►a spray bottle filled with water
►a make-up brush (a bushy one like the kabuki brush)
Section hair, spray your scalp with water, then apply the cornmeal to the scalp and gently rub to lift dead cells and product build-up from scalp. When you are through, use the brush to relieve your hair of the grains of corn meal.
Get More Volume With Epsom Salt or Use it to Remove Product Build-up
Pedicures, Volumizing potions and tile cleaners all have one thing in common; Epsom salt. If you struggle with thin hair, Epsom salt might help.
►Combine 3 tablespoons of conditioner
►3 tablespoons of Epsom salt
►microwave it for 2o seconds. Work it through your hair from root to tip and then leave it on for about 20 minutes, then rinse with warm water.
To remove build-up with Epsom salt you will need:
1 gallon distilled water
1 cup lemon juice
1 cup Epsom salt
Combine in the water bottle and shake vigorously. Let the solution stand for a day. Put it over your hair and let it stand for 20 minutes, then shampoo as you normally would.
