There used to be a time when high quality weaves were unreachable luxuries reserved for only the wealthy or famous. Each of us “regulars” had to make do with what little we could get with our coins, even if that meant putting up with less than desirable, or less than realistic hair extensions.
Hair travesties abounded and the elusive “unicorn weave” was glimpsed only on very rare occasions. This girl would change her hair every month and always look flawless, but nobody knew how she could afford to look so good. Well, her secret is out: more often than not, that girl shops at Ali Express.
If you routinely wear hair extensions, you’ve probably heard of Ali Express, an online marketplace which has become notorious for providing high grade hair extensions at affordable prices.
Never heard of them? You probably have been spending too much money (at overpriced hair companies) or too little money (at your local beauty shop) on your hair. There are of course pros and cons to both.
At expensive hair companies you often can get a product that lasts for years; at your local beauty shop, it is quantity, not quality that matters, but what if you could have both? That is precisely what Ali Express offers through the wide selection of vendors available on the website.
The site itself is not limited to hair; everything from clothing, to jewelry and even automobiles can be purchased from there in a format that is similar to Amazon.
However, what they are best known for is, of course, their hair. They carry everything from wefts, to full wigs, to closures, frontals, wig caps, clip ins and more.
Everything and anything that has to do with hair extensions can be purchased on the site and it acts as a virtual candy shop for weavologists like myself and especially for those who prefer to change up their look constantly. (I’m looking at you beauty supply store ladies).
What if you could invest just a little more in your hair and avoid the many frustrations that come with most beauty supply store hair like tangling, matting, or shedding? Ali Express is changing the game by offering a streamlined buying process through which a customer can gauge hair quality, reach out for help in case of doubts, and even find out the not-so-nice details about a potential hair buy before taking the jump.

This my favorite site to shop at for the past 4 years. Not just hair but the cloths as well. It sometime take a month to get what you ordered because it’s coming from China.

HINT: NEVER, EVER, EVER put in a request for a quote on this site. Once you do that, HUNDREDS of vendors will spam your email DAILY asking you to buy from them. There is no way to turn this off and no way to get AliExpress to do anything about it as they hide their email on the site. I had to close down my email address just to get rid of the constant spamming.
