Do you follow the lives of Blac Chyna, Kylie, Tyga and everyone in that camp? You might know about their relationship battles, all the slick pictures they put on Instagram for attention and everything the blogs have to say about this lot.
If you aren’t here for that tea, that’s great because I am just here about the edges. Blac Chyna has had cosmetic surgery before and she is known for wearing wigs* and weaves because of her alleged receding hair line. We cannot speculate if weaves are the result of her hairline damage but we can say generally that weaves and extensions* can damage your hair line.
The point is though it is reported that she did find a solution to her edges problem through cosmetic surgery. Last month she had a surgeon do a hair transplant from one area of her head to her edges.
Basically improving her edges to the point of being able to do braided styles and other styles that require your edges to be in tact.
If you do not know anything about hair transplant surgery the basic definition is pretty clear about what happens:
Hair transplantation is a surgical technique that moves individual hair follicles from a part of the body called the ‘donor site’ to bald or balding part of the body known as the ‘recipient site’. It is primarily used to treat male pattern baldness.
It can be a real solution for those of us who may suffer from balding of any kind as you aren’t adding anything synthetic to your hairline and the hair, though it will fall out after surgery, will start to grow with care.
The cost of hair transplant surgery can be as much as 15 grand depending on how much work the Surgeon has to do. The minimum is about $4000.00.
We have always liked Blac Chyna’s natural hair and whether this actually happened or not, our question is, would you ever do a hair transplant if you had the means to do so?
Mercede Hankins says
This is a lie. Stop posting bulls**t. Not everyone wears weave because they don’t have a hairline. Many professionals do so to protect their own hair from daily mishandling.
Krystine Anderson says
Where did she take the hair from???
Faye Stillstanding Smith says
They usually take it from the back of the head
Atifa Wynn says
Lmao^^^ that’s different kind of hair!
Krystine Anderson says
Oh OK I’ve never needed edges but thanks for letting me know
Gest Tonya says
Really
Christina Mulenga says
Is this true?
Andrea Carr says
It doesn’t make sense to post an article and then say if it’s true seems ridiculous. All that hair she has is her hair. Now a better article would have been on youtuber Destiny Godley who discusses her surgery openly and looks beautiful. That would have been based on more fact rather than saying if it’s true. Seems like shade toward Chyna smh hmmm
Monique Walker says
Thank you! That’s the first thing I noticed
Vonquetta Hatcher says
I don’t think this is true. She has pics of her natural hair and it’s always looked full and healthy. All women who wear weaves are not bald headed and edgeless.
Juanita Waller says
Especially if they have the money to keep having their hair groomed and braided again rather than 6 month intervals.
Vivian N. Larsen says
If you look at old pics of Kim Kardashian you will see see also got a new fuller hairline.. a lot of famous people get it done.. even actresses from the old area.. it’s pretty common in Hollywood.
Maya Dennies says
Pretty common but I’ve seen her in older pics and her hairline is intact.
Nesha Rivers says
She looks beautiful regardless SMH black people are worried about the wrong s**t! There is a epidemic of police brutality, gang murders, fatherless homes etc…but We continue to worry about other people’s hair styles and EDGES…I’M just saying
Camille Angelique Johnson says
What….
Marsha Garcia says
Ok im done!!!
Lavon M F Hairston says
If she has a problem with her edges why is she tight braiding her edges. It dont make sense to me
Chrystal Creolegirl Donnell says
Thank you!
Boompa Arashi says
Like hair transplants are only for bald white men? Um no, we are women. More pressure to look like it.
Sharon Watson says
Especially those with medical reasons like alopecia due to lupus.
Kelli Hasfaithingod Lane says
Wow! Smh
Cheryl Louis says
They take hair from one part of your scalp and put it on another part. Men have been doing this for like 40 years, why would it even be news if it was true?
Morgan Morgan Morgan says
If she continues to pull and have her hair braided that tight, she’ll go back to having the same eaten out edges
Leslie Berry says
Or her edges weren’t as wrecked as rumor states, the wigs were protective styling and she grew them out until they were healthy again. :/
Latisha Piink Norfleet says
They were missing! No shade.
Leslie Berry says
Missing still doesnt mean full and permanant traction alopecia. You can grow edges back. I have pretty bad sebhorreic dermatitis and I lost mine for a while there because of several really bad flare ups.
A bit of tender love and care, Aveeno anti dandruff shampoo mixed with Monistat, no more oil on my scalp but keeping it moisturized and mine grew back within the year
Sharon Watson says
Yes! In a NY minute!
Tiela Lewis says
Smh! Wow, should’ve left them lace fronts and mirco braids alone! #jamaicanBlackCastorOil
Calmenita Iamenough Browne says
Looks good if so
Marlene Wright says
Yes I would
Tiffany McCray says
I guess them Hairfinity vitamins did not work!!!
Cha LaBranche says
I don’t think she did any of that!!
Lonique Renee Brooklyn Ryan says
I mean if you don’t have any hair and you could fix that, why not?
Jasmine Bryson says
It’s never that serious!
Vedejah Scroggins says
People buy any and spend money on everything else if she’s happy I’m happy for her and yeah I would but I don’t have a problem with my edges it’s the middle of my head the crown I guess that I feel is thinner and i dont know why so yeah I would if it goes bold on me lol
Ashley Blue says
If I need it in the future yes
Onna Calhoun says
Whhhaaaat??? Black Chyna does not have a hair transplant smh
Beezy Hathaway says
They do too much
Onna Calhoun says
Right smh
Jasmine Jackson says
No facts. She’s always had great hair. The wigs are just part of her look.
Levonne Lala Young says
White ppl do it all the time and no big fuss! Wats the big deal? ? Cuz shes blk? ?
Gest Tonya says
Exactly.
Glinda Pharr-Barefield says
Yes
Chrystal Creolegirl Donnell says
Well this is dumb…she gets edges then does tight corn rows to make them recede again?
Carmen Martinez says
What a waste of money, meanwhile far far away in another country some poor child is literally starving to death!
Mahogany Tolbert says
hell everything else is fake about her hell why not? females go under the knife for every little flaw these days half of them they caused (shrugs) i have all my edges so im good. its the same procedure on tv that men who are balding get, its just females wearing snatch out your hair hairstyles are getting hip to it now. need edge transplants like 60 year old men. pathetic
Cris Tucker says
Them braids pull out your hair edges
Noell Piersawl says
Glad she did because she’s a pretty girl and I was beyond tired of seeing her with those bangs
Jennifer Michel Sims says
You don’t get a hair transplant and then get braids a month later. That’s impossible. The hair hasn’t even begun to grow. The scalp is still healing. Y’all really need to get your hair facts together and verify y’all stories.
Phoebe Cofield says
Not sure about surgery. However, why in the hell would one practice the very same styling tactics that broke off the edges in the first place after surgery???
Jessica Norman says
Oh wow I see y’all on some MTO stuff!!!! She does NOT have hair transplants
Neo Muthavhine says
Most definitely. I’m seriously considering it.
Maya Dennies says
All one needs is some Jamaican black castor oil it works.
Kathryn Endres says
Hey does anyone know of a good supplement to help promote growth?
Corinna Dunn says
No just stop abusing your hair and your edges will be just fine
Rachael Kay says
Ouch
