Recently I came across this picture of non other than the semi famous Actress/ Singer Teyana Taylor rocking green hair as she headed to the club in Vegas. Her hair was a mixture of greens actually, creating an ombre effect in addition to huge barrel curls. I have to admit it was kinda cute.
She paired the hair with an all white dress and some blue pumps perfect for a the club. Vibrant hair color is very much on trend this season, nobody goes to the beauty shop and says ‘hey can you hook me up with that light brown just one shade up from my regular color’.
Absolutely not, now we ask for blue, pink, purple and green, even red seems a bit boring nowadays, right?
Apart from the green hair Teyana is not doing too bad for herself, she just partnered with My Extensions* for her own extensions* line that will mimic her own natural tresses called Taylor’d Textures. We expect that she will be doing a bit of advertising of that line on her own head as most business women do so the hair drama isn’t over.
We like the fact that Teyana left her roots dark, of course if you wanted to try this color, you do not have to do that but it helps because as your hair grows out you wont have the issue of retouching to maintain a full head of green hair.
If you do decide to do a full head of permanent color prepare yourself for some serious maintenance, we typically wouldn’t recommend extreme color if you have relaxed hair, and if you are natural you can destroy your strands if you are not very careful. In any case with all the hair chalks or temporary spray on colors available now, there’s no need to go permanently green anyway.
We kinda like this look on Teyana plus some of the other colors we have seen around the web, comment below and let us know what you think of her green tresses. Would you ever go green with your own natural hair or is it too much?

A ton of jealousy going on in the comment section. Although…if this was Beyonce, Rhianna, or Minaj, you would be praising them for their bold and beautiful style.
It’s not like she will keep this green hair for a long time. She continually experiments with that gorgeous head of hair of hers many times.
nubiennze says
I hear you, but Beyonce would be dragged from here to kingdom come if she attempted something like this, lol.
It looks more like temporary color/chalk than bleach and dye to me, though. At least that’s what I hope…
