How long does hair chalk last?
Hair chalk is usually rinsed out easily with water so it really does not stain your hair in a permanent fashion. What is so good about hair chalk is that with all the colors that it can come in you can have a different look every day and you also get a very vibrant color effect.
If you want to be rogue one day and rainbow brite the next, then by all means go for it! That is the beauty of hair chalk.
What are the cons of hair chalk?
The only con to hair chalk is it is pretty much poofed after you’ve rinsed your hair. So if you are a daily co-washer and you want to have color that you do not have to keep up with, this might not be the coloring agent for you.
The hair chalk also has a tendancy to rub off all over your clothes so don’t wear easily stained clothes while your hair is chalked.
Where can I buy hair chalk?
You can usually find hair chalk online and even in clothing stores such as Urban Outfitters.
3. Colored Clip In Extensions
What are colored clip in hair extensions* and how do I use them?
Colored Clip-in extensions are hair extensions* that you can simply, well, clip in*. They usually come in all hair colors so you can find your color that you want. To use clip in extensions, you simply clip them in any section of your hair where you would like highlights for a peekaboo effect. Alternatively you can use a handful of them on the bottom of your hair to create an ombre effect in a flash.
How long do colored clip in extensions last?
Colored clip in hair extensions last for as long as you keep them in. Once you take them out the color is of course gone ahaha!
What are the cons of clip in extensions*?
A major con with colored clip in extensions is that you have to get a pretty good texture match with the extensions for them to blend in with your hair especially since most clip ins* are usually only made in a straight texture.
This means that if you aren’t relaxed bone straight, then depending on your relaxed texture you would have to constantly apply heat to your hair or roller set to match the texture.
So if you are against using heat, then I wouldn’t suggest using these babies unless you want to go down the DIY route and make clip in* extensions with hair that matches your hair texture.
Where can I buy clip in hair extensions*?
You can usually find them in beauty supply stores and online.

I love the clip in color and haven’t had the chance to try the hair chalk. For some reason they sell out quick where I live but looking forward to having some temp highlights for next year. I have never dyed my hair before but I have used hair mascara. It is literally mascara for your hair you can get highlights or crazy funky colors. It doesn’t last long you can brush or wash it out. I usually buy it at a beauty supply store.
