
My name is Alma Campbell and I am the founder of BlackHairInformation.com. I am a writer and a mother. I started my hair journey in July of 2008 with neck length breaking relaxed hair. At that point it had never even occurred to me that black hair could grow long. You either had the genes or you didn't, I thought.
At the time my hair would definitely grow because I would always have new growth to retouch but the length remained the same year after year. I stumbled on a hair forum online while I was searching for a product that could strengthen my hair and there I discovered how to care for black hair properly for length retention.
I decided to go natural simply because hair is strongest in it's natural state and I also started using healthy hair practices and techniques..
